What we clean
Elite Jetwashing Services cleans the whole conservatory roof, top to bottom, across Bolton and the North West:
- Glass roof panels
- Polycarbonate roof sheets
- Roof frames, glazing bars and flashing
- Finials and ridge caps
- Roof gutters, valleys and channels where moss and leaf fall collect
The roof is usually the dirtiest part of a conservatory: green algae coats the panels, moss packs into the channels and valleys, bird mess builds up on the finials, and sap and leaf staining dull the glass. All of it blocks light into the room below.
How we do it
- Assessment. We check whether it’s a glass or polycarbonate roof, look at its age and condition, and pick the safest method. The two surfaces mark differently, so this matters.
- Clear the loose debris. Leaf fall, twigs and packed moss are cleared out of the roof gutters, valleys and channels by hand first.
- Soft wash the panels. A low-pressure soft wash with the right solution lifts the algae film, grime and staining off the panels without scratching them or forcing water past the seals.
- Frames and finials. The frames, glazing bars and finials are washed down and the bird mess cleared off.
- Rinse and check. Everything is rinsed down and the gutters checked to run clear. We take before and after photos on every job.
Why it matters
A dirty conservatory roof does more than look bad. Algae and moss trap moisture against the panels and seals, blocked roof gutters and valleys send water where it shouldn’t go, and a green roof cuts the amount of daylight reaching the room. It’s also a job where the wrong method causes damage. Plenty of people search for conservatory jet washing in Bolton, but high-pressure jet washing is the wrong tool here: it can craze polycarbonate, scratch glass and force water past the seals. We soft wash the panels instead and only use more pressure where a surface can take it. A proper clean brightens the room, protects the seals and glazing, and keeps the roof draining properly.
